I chose this title because: when I looked at the door it shouted out loud “summer”. The decorations on the door invited me to take a road trip.

This painting was done while visiting my daughter Sussan in Leesburg Virginia. I painted some houses doors in her neighborhood; it was my way of saving the place, moment and memories. …it was more than journaling for me.

Bio Yolanda Barreto, is a self-taught visual artist who loves creating in her studio and outdoors. She exposes herself via different forms of art on a daily bases. Art is a way of interpreting her environment. She creates series and works with the following medias: acrylic, charcoal, mixed media, oil, pencil and watercolor. She also does sculptures and carves. She belongs to several art organizations and has won best of show, artist of the month among other awards.
